It's hard to be a quilter and not make friends wherever you go. When I was attending a C&T Teachers retreat a few years ago I shared a table with a wonderful quilter. We hit it off and a few months later I received a phone call from her. Would I be willing to make a quilt for her new book? Of course! She sent me the fabric, pattern and foundation sheets for a paper pieced top. Here's the result.  The quilt is called Hugs and Kisses and it appears in Anita Grossman Solomons book Make it Simpler Paper Piecing. Anita sent a proposal to Simply Quilts and was accepted. She asked to borrow the quilt I had made and so my quilt appeared briefly on episode 935. Several viewers liked the border pattern I had added. The border instructions are not in the book so I did a quick and dirty tracing of my templates. You can download those here.
