I’m frantically working on that applique quilt that I want to get into the guild quilt show.

I’m having a lot of fun watching it progress, but the deadline is making me a little stressed what with life happening and all. In the end I didn’t finish the quilt by the show deadline. However, the person accepting the quilts gave me a few extra days so it did get in the show. Yippee!
At bee I did continue to work on the never ending Hawaiian quilt project. As I pulled some basting threads out someone commented that I must be pretty far along. I opened the top out; only a quarter of the way done. This thing is taking forever! At least I always have a hand project to work on at bee. Everyone else seems to have something new to work on each month, so I am feeling a bit boring and slow.

I missed Moda club this month so not only didn’t I work on something but I also wasn’t tempted by whatever new kits or fabric came in. I think that’s good. It does leave more money in the budget for the shop hop next month.

On the sort of, but not really, quilt related front. I made neckerchiefs for the boy scout troop so they’d all look spiffy for scout camp. Also, I made gifts for the quilt guild board. It’s a tradition for the guild president to make/buy a little something for everyone. I came up with something cool but don’t want to spill the beans until I give them out. Sorry, you’ll have to wait until September for pictures.
